Waterfalls

Since waterfalls have existed in our relationship since before it began, here are a few shots to help you understand why they are one of our favorite Adventures!

I would venture to say that one of Jason's favorite places is Upper Creek Falls; he has been on many trips there and I'm sure many more will follow.  Before we started dating Jason was planning to move to Asheville and invited me along to go exploring the new place he would be living.  Needless to say, he did not move (yay for him being that much closer), but during that weekend, on our way back to Raleigh, he took me to Upper Creek and introduced me to one of his great loves!  Upper Creek is beautiful and I cannot wait to go back!  Here are some of the reasons why...

THE (I think it's called) SWIRLY VORTEX?!

AND OF COURSE, BEING STUCK THERE TOGETHER ;)

Stop two for our waterfalls will take you to bum-bada-bum: The American Tobacco District in Durham.  (And yes I am calling these waterfalls!)  Jason has been here many times, but apparently they often update and add sweet new stuff so...we decided to check things out.  Needless to say, that night it was absolutely freezing, so cold in fact that I was wearing 2 pairs of gloves with hand warmers inside, two scarves, two tobaggons (Jason had hand warmers in his) and multiple layers (with another addition of hand warmers to my shoes!) Even through the cold, we persisted and the following ensued:

THE "LOWER FALLS"
This is the point at which the infamous leaf race occurred.
Jason will claim it was rigged, but that is false
...very false indeed.

For those of you who can't view the video...
Here is a picture of right before the race so you can get the effect;
it was incredibly intense!

...more to come!!!
