Our First Custom Order

Well it didn't exactly come through Etsy, but it will go out through Etsy...our first custom order has been requested! Whoo hoo, whoo hoo!!

This is the image we received to go off of.  I must say it's a good sign for a project when I already want to make one for myself!

CK wants this awesome piece for her husband, so they have a way to organize shoes!   How awesome is she?!

This project has quite the array of pallet sizes; we haven't made anything this large from pallets yet, so this is a fun undertaking for us.  We have been rummaging through our pallet collection for a couple days, but think we have finally found just the right wood.

Most of our pallet projects have been one-sided, so it has been okay for the back to be ugly...not this time, folks.  Since the front and back faces are visible, they both have to look aged.  I'm not sure if you're aware, but naturally aged wood is typically only naturally aged on ONE side...since the other side doesn't see the elements.

So excited for this project!  Our business is really happening! Yay!
